Hey Dillon!  Happy Birthday again!    Dillon's mom Sherri asked me to come to her sons 6th birthday party!  It was on Halloween!  I'm a BIG fan of Halloween fun and I had fun seeing Dillon and all his friends in their costumes.  They all were very excited and had a lot of questions and stories to share with me!  Most of all they wanted to touch, feel and/or hold every animal they could.   I do hope they all enjoyed the presentation.  Dillon wants a bearded dragon for his birthday.  I wonder if he'll be getting one?  Thanks for ha

Or should I say moving DAYS!I   It's a very big job. The big tanks are way to heavy to move with all the substrate and decor.  So yesterday, both bearded dragon tanks got emptied and moved.  Of course one must take the opportunity to do a deep clean and shine up all the glass while they are emptied.  It total it took about 6 hours to move the two tanks.  I washed all the sand because even though poops are spot cleaned regularly it still can get kind of stinky.  Then the sand is put into the oven to sterilize and dry.  Whew!!  Both beardies are settling in nicely.

This morning, Hunter the chameleon got moved.  He spend about an hour is his smaller traveling cage while his big one was cleaned.  His water fall got washed and he got a nice big new ficus plant.  His old one died in the spring and I think he likes his greenery.  I could only find a huge one, and ended up having to cut it down to almost half the size.  lol. Now he's just kinds of sitting there taking it in.  Has yet to explore his new jungle!

Now.... on to the baby bearded dragons.  They are ready to be split up into 2 or 3 smaller tanks so I can keep a closer eye on them to see who is eating well, before I try to sell them.

Leapin' Lizards I've got some exciting news!  My reptile pets are getting their own room in the house!  My husband, (not the biggest reptile fan) does not want them in the living room anymore.  So a room downstairs has had the old stinky carpet pulled out, new floor put in and it is freshly painted.  As soon as I get over this nasty cold I will start the process of moving in.  It will be a lot of work.  Some of the tanks are too big and heavy to move with everything in them, so they will have to be completely emptied.  So, all the animal homes will get a good cleaning, and I get to have fun redecorating.  Yay!!

I think the website is more or less complete, except for updates course.  I have a couple of fliers with tear off tabs posted and the add on Kijiji.  Oh!  I can put one on Sarnia Online too!  Okay.... Here I go!  Wish me luck everyone and let's see if I can make this work!

Special thanks to that teacher friend of mine for all her support and encouragement!  I would never have gotten this far with out it!

Well the web site is almost done!  Just a few more pics to add to complete the animals page and then it should be just about complete.  I guess I'm ready to start posting the fliers and to place an add on Kijiji.  I'm a wee bit nervous to tell the truth.  Don't really know why.  I guess it's and excited nervousness.  I've often dreamed of having my own business so it's time to take the plunge and get the adds out there.  Wish me luck!

So here's the start of Leapin' Lizards!  I've actually tossed around the idea for a while, but it wasn't until after doing a class presentation for a friend's grade 5 class that I finally decided to run with it.  It was so cool to see all the excitement of the kids faces!  Their enthusiasm was contagious as they watched, touched and felt these amazing creatures.  I know that just about every adult in my life would be thrilled if this hobby of mine went by the wayside.  To share it with children who actually find it as interesting and cool as I do is just totally awesome!  The flyers are made, the website started, so if there is interest in my community I will go ahead a register the name as a legit business!  I'm so excited!
